President-elect Obama

Tonight a million things changed, and I was here, in Chicago, watching it happen. I'm so proud of us, so proud of the number of people who voted for the first time. Proud of those who waited in line, who traveled, who struggled to cast a vote in this election.

I'm overwhelmed. I can't help but get emotional at the knowledge that for my children, for all of the children, there will never be a time when they don't know that the world is wide open. They can do anything because they will believe they can, and that's thanks to everyone who voted today and for the last few weeks.

We can do anything. ANYONE can do anything. Let's get to work.
